Homemaker/Companion

We are currently recruiting compassionate homemakers/companions interested in positively impacting the lives of seniors.

Responsibilities

​

• Perform duties which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, dish washing, changing bed linens,cleaning bathrooms and laundry services.

​

• Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions from client. May shop for groceries if required.

​

• Serve as a joyful companion to client . This includes accompanying client on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, assisting with hobbies, listening to a client reminisce etc. 

Requirements

​

• High School Diploma or G.E.D Certificate preferred

​

• Completion of a written Competency Evaluation

​

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English( Intermediate to native fluency level)

​

• Possess a valid driver's license

​

• Access to adequate transportation desired but not required

Home Health Aide

We are currently accepting resumes for Home Health Aide opportunities. Qualified candidates will provide services centered on daily living and personal care services in the homes of seniors. Services offered will be in accordance to an established care plan.

Responsibilities

​

• Provide health care services in patients residences

​

• Perform domestic and household tasks

​

• Transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital

​

• Administer simple prescribed medications

​

• Assist with clients personal care activities

​

• Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) and report on their condition

​

• Maintain patients care records and document provided services

​

• Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises

​

• Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise

​

• Collect routine specimens

​

• Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support

​

​

Requirements

​

• Proven working experience as home health aide

​

• Ability to monitor vital signs and to collect specimens

​

• Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards

​

• Proficiency in English

• Nursing  and health care administration skills

• Current CPR certificate

Personal Care Assistant/ Nurse Assistant

Responsibilities

​

• Assists clients with grooming activities ( shower, tub or bed baths, oral care, hair and skin care)

​

• Assists clients with excretion activities (toilet facilities including bed pans)

​

• Aid clients with getting in and out of bed. Duty excludes the use of mechanical lifting equipment unless trained with proof of documentation.

​

• Help clients with walking, including the use of walkers and wheelchairs where applicable

​

• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if required

​

• Assist with prescribed exercises of client and aide as instructed by an appropriate health professional

​

• Record and report changes in client's physical condition, behavior or appearance to Supervisor or Case Coordinator

​

• Document services provided in accordance to the policies and procedures of Providence Staffing Agency

Requirements

​

• Personal Care Assistant Certificate

​

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Qualified candidates will provide care to seniors using the process of assessment, planning, implementation of procedures and evaluation pertaining to nursing.

Responsibilities

​

​

• Effectively manages the care of clients by using clinical skills and sound judgment under the direction of a Registered Nurse

​

• Makes use of allocated resources, including personnel, services, supplies and equipment in the care of seniors

​

​

• Reviews, evaluates and takes appropriate action regarding results of diagnostic tests

​

​

• Administers medications according to state policy

​

​

• Assists the RN in performing nursing assessments aimed at identifying physical psycho-social and cultural needs when developing a care plan

​

​

• Evaluates and reassesses nursing interventions based on interdisciplinary  care plans and makes revisions as required

​

​

• Assists with the development and implementation of a patient/family education plan

​

​

• Ensures that documentation of care plans is in compliance with regulatory standards

​

​

Requirements

​

• Must possess a current Maryland LPN license

​

• Should possess nursing skills as defined in the law governing the practice of nursing in Maryland

​

​

• Current American Heart Association CPR Certification (BCLS) desired but not required

​

​

Requirements
